Second-half goal gives Hawks a 1-0 win at home

Jacob Weaver scored on a header from 10 yards out in the second half to give Rockhurst a 1-0 victory over Quincy in men's soccer play Saturday at RU's Bourke Field.

Weaver's shot from the middle of the field hit the crossbar and found its way inside the net in the 63rd minute. It was Weaver's second goal of the season.

The Hawks posted 10 shots and five shots on goal. Quincy finished with nine shots and three shots on goal.

Weaver led the Hawks with three shots in a reserve role. Rockhurst had four shots on goal in the second half.

RU's Nick Randazzo posted three saves, highlighted by a diving save in the 79th minute. Quincy also had a shot hit the crossbar in the 80th minute.

The Hawks, 2-6-3, play at Truman State on Friday afternoon.
