Anderson leads Hawks to 17-8 win at Maryville

Marianna Anderson scored eight goals to lead Rockhurst to a 17-8 victory over Maryville Sunday in St. Louis.

Anderson tallied five of her goals in the first half to help give the Hawks an 8-4 halftime lead. Rockhurst opened the second half with five unanswered goals to take a 13-4 lead.

Rockhurst (6-6) finished with 41 shots and 29 ground balls. Anderson finished with eight shots and six draw controls.

Danielle Mabry tallied three goals, two assists and two ground balls. Helen Krause and Carolyn Byrd each scored two goals on seven shots.

Olivia Collier finished with seven ground balls and three caused turnovers. Catey Roux recorded four ground balls, four draw controls, three caused turnovers and one goal.

Mackenzie Blair added six draw controls, three ground balls and one goal. Sydney Shindler and Madeline Morrison combined for four saves.
