Hanson leads Hawks to 14-12 win at Maryville

Brooks Hanson scored six points on five goals and one assist to lead Rockhurst to a 14-12 victory over 18th-ranked Maryville Saturday in St. Louis.

Hanson found the nets three times in the first half to help give the Hawks a 7-4 halftime lead. His fifth goal put Rockhurst in front 13-9 with 5:56 left to play.

Ricky Bloom posted five points on three goals and two assists. Jake Fisher scored three goals on four shots. Sam Lindahl tallied two goals on four shots. John Myran added four assists.

Sal Valdivia and Nick Mostrom combined to win 15-of-29 faceoffs. Valdivia collected a team-high seven ground balls. Luke Goetz finished with three ground balls and four caused turnovers.

The Hawks (8-3) end the regular season at ninth-ranked Lindenwood on Saturday, May 1.
