Marianna Anderson scored on a shot from inside the circle in overtime to give Rockhurst a come-from-behind 21-20 victory over Missouri Western Friday at RU's Bourke Field.
Anderson's golden goal with 25 seconds left in overtime was her seventh goal of the game.
The Hawks rallied from a 19-11 deficit to take a 20-19 lead with 3:13 left. Anderson and
Carolyn Byrd combined to score six goals in the 9-0 run that covered over 12 minutes.
Missouri Western tied the score at 20-all on a free position goal by Brady Madison with 2:35 left. Both teams had one shot on goal in the final two minutes in regulation.
Byrd finished with six points on five goals (on 10 shots) and one assist.
Danielle Mabry scored three goals on five shots.
Sydney Shindler and
Madeline Morrison combined for seven saves.
Mackenzie Blair posted nine draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Olivia Collier collected four draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
The Hawks (3-3) host Concordia-St. Paul on Wednesday.
