Hawks pull away for 9-5 win over No. 10 Indy

Sam Lindahl and Ricky Bloom combined for six goals, while Hayden Harris posted 10 saves to lead Rockhurst to a 9-5 victory over 10th-ranked Indianapolis Saturday at RU's Bourke Field.

The Hawks closed the game on a 3-0 run with goals from Lindahl, Kai Trujillo and Bloom to pull away from the Greyhounds in the final 12 minutes. It was Rockhurst's first win over Indianapolis since 2018.

John Myran led the Hawks with four points on one goal and three assists. Bloom scored three goals on seven shots. Lindahl posted three goals on six shots. Brooks Hanson added two points on one goal and one assist.

Rockhurst outshot Indy, 39-32. Sal Valdivia and Nick Mostrom combined to win eight-of-17 faceoffs and collect six ground balls.

Brady Noernberg collected five ground balls and four caused turnovers. Graden Soucy and Matt Campion each finished with five ground balls and three caused turnovers.

The Hawks (7-3) play at Maryville on Saturday, April 24.
