Hawks post 5-2 win over Ottawa

The Rockhurst men's tennis team defeated the Ottawa Braves, 5-2, Friday at the Plaza Tennis Center.

The Hawks captured a point in doubles. Simon Birgerson and Martijn Eleveld were winners in No. 1 doubles by a 7-6 (10-3) score. Nicolas Leon and Alex Barnadas won in No. 2 doubles by a 6-3 score. Brian King and Ryan Moody posted a 6-3 victory in No. 2 doubles.

Leon won his No. 2 singles match, 6-1, 6-4, over Ottawa's Blake Sprouse. Eleveld, King and Moody also won their singles matches.

The Hawks (2-0) will be back in action March 13 against Augustana in St. Joseph, Missouri.
