Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Late goal gives Lewis a 1-0 win over Hawks

The Lewis Flyers scored in the 87th minute to defeat Rockhurst 1-0 in men's soccer play Sunday in Romeoville, Illinois.

Sophomore forward Matthew Beaulieu found the bottom right corner of the net for the game-winning goal. Lewis finished with 10 shots and three shots on goal.

The Hawks posted six shots. Tomasso Tirabassi and Alessandro Macchioni each had two shots to lead Rockhurst. Federico Verlicchi had RU's lone shot on goal in the first half.

Fabio D'Errico posted two saves for the Hawks.

The Hawks, 1-6-3, return home to play Illinois Springfield Thursday night.
