Sullivan sisters receive GLVC accolades

Daly Sullivan was named to the All-GLVC Second Team.
Rockhurst's Daly Sullivan and Keegan Sullivan received postseason honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference for the 2020-21 women's basketball season, as announced by the league office Tuesday.

Daly Sullivan was named to the All-GLVC Second Team. The senior guard currently ranks 18th in scoring (14.8 per game), fifth in three-point field goals made (2.5 pg) and 15th in steals (1.6 pg) in the GLVC. She scored in double figures in 17 games and matched her career-high of 22 points twice this season against Southwest Baptist and Indianapolis.

Keegan Sullivan, Daly's sister, earned a spot on the GLVC's All-Freshmen Team. She finished second on the team with an 11.1 scoring average. She scored in double figures in eight games and tallied a career-high 28 points against Southern Indiana on Feb. 6.

Sophomore forward Lani Thompson was named as Rockhurst's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree. Thompson averaged 5.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game. She scored a career-high 18 points against Southern Indiana on Feb. 6.

These student-athletes have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.

The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
