Lindenwood holds off Hawks for 1-0 victory

The Lindenwood Lions scored in the first half and held on in the second half for a 1-0 victory over Rockhurst in men's soccer Friday night in St. Charles, Missouri.

Reserve Cooper Wilson knocked in the lone goal of the game in the 27th minute. Rockhurst outshot the Lions, 8-7, in the first half.

Rockhurst finished with 14 shots and six shots on goal. Lindenwood posted 16 shots and eight shots on goal.

Elluan Martins Gomes led the Hawks with four shots and two shots on goals. Tomasso Tirabassi, Federico Verlicchi and Alessandro Macchioni each posted two shots.

Fabio D'Errico finished with seven saves in goal for the 1-3-1 Hawks, who play Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday in St. Louis.
