Rockhurst cruises to 15-6 win over Quincy

Eleven different players scored goals to carry 17th-ranked Rockhurst to a 15-6 victory over Quincy Friday night at RU's Bourke Field.

The Hawks scored the first five goals of the game and led 8-2 at halftime. Sam Lindahl was involved in three of the goals, finding the nets once and assisting on two other goals.

Lindahl's second goal of the game gave Rockhurst a 13-3 lead with 11:56 left in the game. Cole Wright and Kai Trujillo capped the scoring with late goals after Quincy scored three unanswered goals.

Ricky Bloom and Lindahl each finished with four points on two goals and two assists. John Myran  collected three points on two goals and one assist. Blake Bellinger added two goals, scoring early in both halves.

Sal Valdivia and Nick Mostrom combined to win 16-of-24 faceoffs and grab eight ground balls. Brady Noernberg posted five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Graden Soucy tallied five ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Rockhurst (2-0) outshot Quincy (0-3), 48-25. Bellinger led the Hawks with eight shots, while Lindahl added five shots. Boomer Kubik finished with six saves in 45 minutes in goal.
