Hawks suffer road loss at Drury

Outside shooting and rebounding carried Drury to a 91-62 victory over Rockhurst Saturday in Springfield, Missouri.

The Panthers connected on 17-of-35 three-pointers and posted 50 rebounds to record their sixth straight win over the Hawks.

"I didn't think we were ready to play today. I'm not sure how that can happen with the struggles we have had," said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener. "They (Drury) came out and had a lot of energy on the offensive glass, which led to open threes and we just didn't compete very tough."
 
Jake Auer led Rockhurst with 17 points and five 3-pointers. The sophomore guard connected on six-of-14 field goals.

Charlie Hoehne scored 11 points on three-of-five shooting. Nick Volz added nine points and six rebounds.

Drury (3-5, 2-1 GLVC) shot 48.5 percent from the field (32 of 66). Malek Davis led the Panthers with 28 points, eight 3-pointers, seven rebounds and five assists.
