First-place Hawks return home this weekend

The Hawks play Missouri S&T Saturday on Senior Day.

The Rockhurst women's volleyball team heads into their final four games holding onto a one-game lead in the GLVC West Division. The Hawks (17-9, 10-4 GLVC) host Southwest Baptist on Friday at 7 p.m. and face Missouri S&T on Senior Day at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Southwest Baptist (10-16, 5-10 GLVC) is coming off a 3-0 loss at Drury on Tuesday. The Bearcats have dropped their last five matches. Rockhurst has won all five of their meetings with SBU since 2015.

Missouri S&T (15-9, 8-5 GLVC) trails Rockhurst by one game in the GLVC West. Payton Gannaway leads the Miners with 3.62 kills per set.

The Hawks have won 11 of the last 12 meetings with S&T. Rockhurst holds a 19-5 record over the Miners since 2007.

Rockhurst will close out its home schedule next Tuesday night against Drury. The Panthers (18-9, 8-6 GLVC) posted a 3-2 win over the Hawks earlier this season. The Hawks have a 12-5 lead over Drury in the series since 2012.
