Hawks suffer 3-1 loss at Southern Indiana

Southern Indiana held off a late Rockhurst rally to post a 3-1 victory over the Hawks in men's soccer Friday night in Evansville, Indiana.

The Screaming Eagles scored in the 17th minute to take a 1-0 halftime lead. USI took a 2-0 lead with a goal in the 69th minute.

Rockhurst got on the board with 3:34 left in regulation on a goal from Jacopo Belardo, who scored on a 12-yard shot from the left side. The Eagles countered two minutes later with a goal off a free kick.

Rockhurst finished with 12 shots and three shots on goal. David Ray-Campoy led the Hawks with three shots. Tomasso Tirabassi added two shots. Fabio D'Errico finished with five saves.

The Hawks (4-6-1, 3-3-1 GLVC) play at McKendree Sunday afternoon.
