Hawks end weekend with 2-0 road loss

Two first half goals carried McKendree to a 2-0 victory over the Rockhurst Hawks in men's soccer Sunday in Lebanon, Illinois.

The Bearcats scored in the 37th minute on an eight-yard shot. McKendree's second goal was a header from 10 yards out off a corner kick in the 42nd minute.

Rockhurst finished with 11 shots and six shots on goal. Elluan Martins Gomes led the Hawks with three shots and two shots on goal. Tomasso Tirabassi added two shots on goal. Jordan Andrews and Cristoforo LiCavoli each had a shot on goal.

Fabio D'Errico posted three saves in the first half. Peter Baker and Nick Randazzo combined for three saves in the second half.

The Hawks (4-7-1, 3-4-1 GLVC) host Lewis Friday night.
