Hawks return home after long road swing

The Hawks are home for the first time since Sept 21.

The Rockhurst volleyball team returns home this weekend after playing five consecutive road games. The Hawks (9-7, 4-3 GLVC) host Southern Indiana Friday at 7 p.m. and McKendree at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Southern Indiana (11-4, 5-2 GLVC) enters the match coming off a 3-2 victory over Indianapolis Tuesday night. The Eagles have won four in a row after dropping matches to Missouri S&T and Lewis.

Rockhurst has won seven of their last eight meetings with USI and leads the all-time series, 17-3. The Eagles won their last meeting, 3-0, last year in Evansville.

McKendree (4-10, 2-4 GLVC) posted a 3-1 win over Truman State last Saturday. The Bearcats play at Southwest Baptist Friday night.

The Hawks hold a 6-4 record against McKendree since 2013. The Hawks collected a 3-0 win at Rockhurst last spring.
