Wingate leads Hawks to 3-0 win over Walsh

Justice Wingate posted 15 kills and six blocks to power Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over Walsh (25-21, 25-20, 25-17) on the first day of the Midwest Region Crossover Friday at Hammond, Indiana.

Tera Reberry collected 10 kills with a .563 hitting percentage. Averi Vomastic finished with nine kills, five digs and four blocks. Kenzie Hines added nine digs.

Gabbie Inman picked up 23 assists and eight digs. Sarah Montague contributed 15 assists and eight digs.

• The Hawks posted a .337 hitting percentage.
• Maureen Reilly posted team highs in digs (16) and service aces (3).
• The Hawks finished with 46 kills, 50 digs and 10 blocks.

The Hawks dropped their second match in the Crossover, falling 3-1 to Wayne State University (25-20, 25-14, 23-25, 25-22) on Friday.

Wingate led Rockhurst with 11 kills and four blocks. Hines and Reberry finished with nine kills and eight kills.

Gabbie Inman collected 17 assists and eight digs. Sarah Montague added 16 assists and eight digs.
