Hawks wrap up Crossover with 3-0 win

Rockhurst wrapped up play in the Midwest Region Crossover with a 3-0 victory over Ashland (27-25, 25-19, 25-23) Saturday in Hammond, Indiana.

Justice Wingate led the Hawks with 11 kills, 13.5 points and five blocks. Tera Reberry finished with nine kills, 11 points and four blocks. Kenzie Hines had eight kills and 11 digs. Averi Vomastic added eight kills, eight digs and three service aces.

Maureen Reilly collected a team-high 18 digs. Gabbie Inman tallied 22 assists and 10 digs. Sarah Montague had 12 assists and nine digs.

Inside the Box Score
• The Hawks held Ashland to a .147 hitting percentage.
• Rockhurst rallied from a 23-21 deficit in the third set.
• The Hawks finished with 43 kills, 62 digs and eight blocks.

All-Tournament Team
• Justice Wingate and Maureen Reilly were named to the Midwest Region Crossover All-Tournament Team. Wingate averaged 3.7 kills and 1.5 blocks per set. Reilly averaged 6.0 digs per set. The Hawks finished with a 2-1 record at the Crossover.

On Deck
Rockhurst (13-8, 6-3 GLVC) will return home to play Truman State on Thursday.
