RU's Nick Arman cards 11-under 60 in Korn Ferry Tour qualifier

Nick Arman posted nine birdies and one eagle to secure his second career start on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Former Rockhurst golfer Nick Arman led the way at open qualifying for this week's TPC San Antonio Championship at the Oaks. The St. Louis native carded an 11-under 60 at The Quarry Golf Course to earn a spot in this week's Korn Ferry Tour event.

Arman posted nine birdies and one eagle to secure his second career start on the Korn Ferry Tour. He made his debut on the Korn Ferry Tour at the 2019 Price Cutter Charity Championship, where he made the cut and finished tied for 44th.

The Korn Ferry Tour is the developmental tour for the PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either not yet reached the PGA Tour, or who have done so but then failed to win enough FedEx Cup points to stay at that level.

The AT&T Oaks Course in San Antonio measures 7,494 yards and plays to a par-72. The Greg Norman-designed track features a mix of tree-lined and wide fairways, with numerous water hazards and bunkers that are strategically placed along the way.

Arman graduated from Rockhurst in 2016 as one of the most accomplished golfers in school history. He ranks second in career scoring average (75.14), career wins (3) and career birdies (208) behind Clarke Fry. Arman finished with three of the top six single season scoring averages at Rockhurst and qualified for three NCAA Super Regionals.
