Hawks earn six WGCA All-American Scholar honors

Abby Sauber earned her fourth selection as a WGCA All-American Scholar.

Six members of the Rockhurst women's golf team were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).

Senior Abby Sauber (Wichita, Kan.), senior Dorothy Keenan (Larned, Kan.), sophomore Emma Hughes (Edmond, Okla.), freshman Caroline Lynch (St. Louis, Mo.), freshman Emma Mullendore (Omaha, Neb.) and freshman Caroline Setter (Topeka, Kan.) received All-American Scholar honors with a 3.50 or higher grade point average.

The six golfers helped Rockhurst succeed both on and off the course under head coach Richard Konzem. In the classroom, the Hawks posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.797. On the course, they finished first at the Ottawa Fall Invitational.

Sauber earned her fourth selection as a WGCA All-American Scholar, while Keenan earned her third academic honor from the WGCA. Hughes is a two-time WGCA academic honoree.

In total, 1,401 collegiate golfers from all three division programs were recognized. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics.
