Hawks earn 13 Team Academic All-GLVC awards

The Rockhurst volleyball team, along with the women's cross country and women's golf teams, posted a 3.80 team GPA to lead the Hawks.

Thirteen of Rockhurst's 15 athletic teams earned the 2019-20 GEICO Team Academic All-GLVC Award. The GLVC recognizes each team from member institutions that have maintained a 3.30 grade point average for the academic year. A record 207 GLVC squads were recipients in 2019-20.

The Hawks were led by their volleyball, women's cross country and women's golf teams with a 3.80 GPA. The other 10 Rockhurst teams to receive the award were women's tennis (3.77), men's golf (3.72), women's basketball (3.72), men's tennis (3.71), softball (3.68), women's soccer (3.67), women's lacrosse (3.65), men's cross conuntry (3.53), baseball (3.46) and men's soccer (3.30).

Rockhurst posted the highest team GPA in the GLVC in volleyball, women's golf and baseball. The Hawks finished with the second highest team GPA in the conference in women's cross country, women's basketball, men's golf and women's lacrosse. The Rockhurst men's tennis and men's cross country teams posted the third highest team GPA in their respective sports in the GLVC.

There were a total of 138 women's teams and 69 men's squads tabbed for the honor. On the women's side, soccer led the way with 16 teams earning the accolade. Golf led the men's honorees with 13 conference squads garnering the award.
