Balanced attack leads Hawks to 27-0 win over Adams State

The Rockhurst Hawks opened their Colorado trip in style, cruising to a 27-0 win over Adams State Sunday in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

It was a balanced day offensively as 13 different Hawks scored. Addison Bradley found the back of the net four times, while Logan Derosia, Carolyn Byrd, Christine Corbin and Hannah Miller each added three goals apiece.

Helen Krause, Madison Cook and Danielle Mabry each scored two goals. Emelia Boillat scored once and racked up a team-high four assists. Miller, Cook and Mabry each dished out three assists.

Defensively, Emily Duff, Kate McDonald and Madeline Morrison shared time at goalie and preserved the shutout. In front of them, Corbin was active, causing four turnovers, collecting four ground balls and winning four draw controls.

The Hawks took down the Grizzlies by the same score of 27-0 last season. Coach Molly McCourt's squad improves to 3-3 with the win as Rockhurst will look to carry momentum into Monday's game vs. Westminster (3:00 p.m. CST).
