Second half run leads Chargers past Hawks

The Alabama-Huntsville Chargers scored the first six goals of the second half in a 20-10 win over Rockhurst Friday night in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Rockhurst scored the game's first three goals as Marianna Anderson and the offense started fast. The Hawks maintained that margin at 5-2, but the Chargers came roaring back with a 6-0 run. UAH took an 11-7 lead into halftime and threw the first punch in the second half, stretching the lead to 17-7.

Anderson and Logan Derosia each scored three goals for Rockhurst. Helen Krause scored one goal and assisted on another, while Emelia Boillat, Mackenzie Blair and Hannah Miller rounded out the scoring for the Hawks. 

Audrey Ford led Rockhurst in draw controls with three. Goalkeeper Emily Duff made eight saves for the Hawks, while Madeline Morrison tallied two as UAH outshot Rockhurst 38-21.

The Hawks (2-3) will be off for a couple weeks until they travel to Colorado for four games, starting March 8.
