No. 12 Hawks post 8-2 win at Columbia

Rockhurst held Columbia College scoreless in the second half in posting an 8-2 victory over the Cougars Saturday in Columbia, Missouri.

Three players combined for six goals to pace the 12th-ranked Hawks' offensive effort. Blake Bellinger led the Hawks with two goals and one assist. Bellinger scored back-to-back goals in the third period to give the Hawks a 6-2 lead.

Kai Trujillo and Jake Fisher each scored two goals. John Myran and Alec Heflin both collected two assists. Brooks Hanson finished with one goal and one assist. Zach Bodeau won five of six faceoffs and had a team-high four ground balls.

Rockhurst (3-0) outshot the Cougars, 57-25. Myran led the Hawks with nine shots. Bellinger had eight shots. Trujillo, Heflin and Regan Devine each had seven shots. Patrick Fitzsimmons finished with seven saves for the Hawks.
