Nine-goal run carries Hawks to 17-10 road win

Rockhurst scored nine unanswered goals in rolling to a 17-10 victory over Alabama-Huntsville Saturday in Huntsville, Alabama.

Sal Valdivia and Kai Trujillo ended the third period with goals to give Rockhurst a 10-8 lead. The Hawks scored the first seven goals in the fourth period.

Five players combined for 13 goals to lead the 13th-ranked Hawks' offensive effort. Drake O'Neill led the team with five points on two goals and three assists. Sam Lindahl had a team-high four goals.

Kai Trujillo finished with three goals. John Myran collected two goals and two assists. Blake Bellinger added two goals.

Zach Bodeau won 15-of-17 faceoffs and had a team-high 12 ground balls. Sal Valdivia captured 10-of-14 faceoffs and had eight ground balls.

Rockhurst (4-0) outshot the Huntsville, 67-30. O'Neill led the Hawks with 18 shots. Lindahl had nine shots and Trujillo added eight shots. Patrick Fitzsimmons finished with 14 saves for the Hawks.
