The Rockhurst men's soccer team (0-1-1) opens Great Lakes Valley Conference action against William Jewell (0-2) Sunday (2:30 p.m.) at Bourke Field.

The Hawks are coming off a 2-2 tie at home with Rogers State last Sunday. Freshmen Adam Burnett and Luke Rafanan scored RU's goals in the second half.

William Jewell opened the season with a pair of 3-1 losses at home to Rogers State and Harding. The Cardinals were picked to finish 15th in the GLVC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The Hawks return home next week to host Truman State (Sept. 20) and Quincy (Sept. 22).
