Eisenbarger strikes out 15 as Hawks fall to Saints

Maryville scored three runs in the 10th inning to post a 5-2 victory over Rockhurst in the second game of a conference doubleheader Friday night at RU's Loyola Park.

The Saints rallied in the ninth to score on a one-out double to force extra innings. The Hawks had taken a 2-1 lead in the eighth on an infield single by Noah Huston.

Jack Eisenbarger struck out a career-high 15 in eight innings for the Hawks. He allowed one run on five hits while throwing 129 pitches.

Huston led the Hawks with two hits. Colby Smith drove in Rockhurst's first run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

Maryville won the first game, 5-3, while outhitting Rockhurst, 14-7. Wylson Lamb drove in two runs with a second-inning triple. Garrett McNally posted two hits in the loss.

Maryville won the series finale, 13-2, on Saturday. The Saints collected seven extra-base hits. McNally and Nathan Mark each had two hits for the Hawks.

Rockhurst (9-30, 5-22 GLVC) will host Northwest Missouri State on Tuesday night.
