Rockhurst's Tarass Thevenaz has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men's tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

Thevenaz, a senior from Le Landeron, Switzerland, led the Hawks to wins over Quincy and Truman State. He beat Quincy's Brenden Everhart and Truman's Griffin Turnage by 6-0, 6-1 scores. Thevenaz also teamed with Martijn Eleveld to win in No. 1 doubles over Quincy and Truman State.

This marks his first career GLVC Player of the Week award.
