After a tough battle early, the seventh-ranked Regis Rangers scored 10 unanswered goals to pull away from Rockhurst in an 18-6 victory Saturday afternoon at Bourke Field.
An
Olivia Collier goal pulled Rockhurst within two at 5-3 midway through the first half, as the Hawks competed with the Rangers. But Regis scored the final eight goals of the first half and the first two goals of the second half to take control of the game.
Marianna Anderson and
Logan Derosia each scored two goals for the Hawks. Derosia tallied a team-high five draw controls. Anderson and
Bunga Spencer each collected a pair of ground balls.
Emily Duff (three saves) and
Molly Dunham (one save) split time in goal for Rockhurst.
The Hawks (6-6, 3-2 RMAC) return to action Friday, April 5, hosting conference opponent Colorado State-Pueblo.
