The Rockhurst men's tennis team fell by a 5-2 score to 13th-ranked Southwest Baptist Wednesday at the Loyola Park Tennis Courts.

Rockhurst took a 1-0 lead after winning No. 1 and 3 doubles by 7-6 scores. Tarass Thevenaz, who teamed with Martijn Eleveld to win No. 1 doubles, posted a win in No. 1 singles.

Thevanez upset nationally-ranked Raul Cabellero in a third set tie-breaker 

The Hawks (7-6) will open conference play at home on Friday afternoon against William Jewell.
