Rockhurst shot a blistering 60.3 percent from the field in rolling past William Jewell, 96-80, Saturday at Jewell's Mabee Center in Liberty, Missouri.
The Hawks (16-10, 10-6 GLVC) are riding a six-game streak and moved closer to clinching a berth in the GLVC Tournament. Rockhurst has passed Missouri-St. Louis into sixth place in the GLVC Point Rating System. The top eight teams in the GLVC advance to the conference tournament March 7-10 in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Chris Hamil,
Nick Volz and
Curtis Lewis combined for 57 points and 22 rebounds. Hamil led the way with 20 points on seven-of-nine shooting. Volz finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Lewis scored 18 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Hamil scored 15 points in the first half to help give Rockhurst a 45-34 halftime lead. Volz totaled 11 points and seven rebounds in the first 20 minutes. Lewis collected 12 points in the second half as the Hawks outscored Jewell 51-46 after halftime.

Auston Rushing scored nine points on three 3-pointers.

Connor Evans combined for 13 points and 13 rebounds.
