Top-seeded Hawks advance to GLVC semifinals

Seniors Karli Reichert and Alyssa Woodman combined for 28 kills to lead 21st-ranked Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over Missouri S&T in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Tournament (25-18, 25-13, 25-17) Friday night in East Peoria, Illinois.

The top-seeded Hawks, 27-7 overall, will meet fourth-seeded Indianapolis in the GLVC Tournament semifinals at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Reichert and Woodman each had a team-high 14 kills and eight digs. Dani Prusha tallied 38 assists and 16 digs. Mary Rolf, Justice Wingate and Audrey Arand combined for 15 kills and seven blocks. Jadyn Makovicka added 14 digs.

Set One: Rockhurst 25, Missouri S&T 18
The Hawks jumped out to a 9-2 lead and held off a late run by the Miners. Reichert and Woodman combined for 11 kills.

Set Two: Rockhurst 25, Missouri S&T 13
Rockhurst went on an 11-1 run to take a 14-4 lead. Reichert had a team-high six kills.

Set Three: Rockhurst 25, Missouri S&T 17
The Hawks pulled away late, closing out the match behind a 6-1 run. Woodman and Rolf combined for nine kills.

Alyssa Woodman. The All-GLVC First Team attacker finished with 14 kills while hitting .433, eight digs and a team-high 15.5 points.
