Hawks face road match at William Jewell

The Rockhurst Hawks begin the final week of the regular season with a non-conference road test at William Jewell Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Liberty, Missouri.

The Hawks won their last meeting, 3-1, at Rockhurst on Oct. 8. Rockhurst has won the past 16 meetings and holds a 17-1 advantage since the 2010 season. William Jewell (11-18, 4-9 GLVC) have dropped five of its last six matches. The Cardinals have a 4-4 record at home this year.

The first-place Hawks (24-6, 12-1 GLVC) have won eight consecutive matches and 24 consecutive sets and are currently ranked 20th in the latest AVCA Division II Top 25 Poll. Rockhurst ranks in the top 25 in the nation in hitting percentage (7th, .270), kills per set (10th, 14.32) and assists per set (11th, 13.21).

Karli Reichert leads the team in kills (3.92 per set, 3rd in GLVC) and points (4.41 per set, 2nd in GLVC). Alyssa Woodman ranks eighth in kills (3.31 per set) and ninth in points (3.80 per set) in the GLVC. Jadyn Makovicka stands fourth in the GLVC in digs per set (4.79). Dani Prusha ranks third in the GLVC in assists (11.23 per set). Mary Rolf and Audrey Arand stand third and 10th in hitting percentage in the GLVC. Justice Wingate ranks eighth in blocks (1.07) in the GLVC.

Rockhurst will close out the regular season at 12th-ranked Lewis on Friday and at Illinois Springfield on Saturday. The GLVC Tournament begins on Nov. 22 in East Peoria, Illinois.
