Hawks return home to face William Jewell

The 12th-ranked Rockhurst Hawks return home to face William Jewell in a GLVC match Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks won their last meeting, 3-1, at Jewell on Oct. 2, 2018. Rockhurst has won the past 15 meetings and holds a 16-1 advantage since the 2010 season. This week is GLVC "Officials Appreciation Week."

The Hawks (14-3, 4-0 GLVC) have won nine consecutive matches and are currently ranked 12th in the latest AVCA Division II Top 25 Poll. Rockhurst ranks in the top 25 in the nation in hitting percentage (eighth, .273), kills per set (22nd, 13.95) and assists per set (24th, 12.73).

Karli Reichert leads the team in kills (3.79 per set, 5th in GLVC) and points (4.20 per set, 5th in GLVC). Alyssa Woodman ranks 10th in kills (3.36 per set), 10th in points (3.88 per set) and eighth services aces per set (0.32) in the GLVC. Jadyn Makovicka stands fifth in the GLVC in digs per set (4.82). Dani Prusha ranks third in the GLVC in assists (10.89 per set). Mary Rolf stands third in hitting percentage in the GLVC (.408). Justice Wingate ranks fourth in hitting percentage (.376) and eighth in blocks (1.02) in the GLVC.

William Jewell (6-10, 2-2 GLVC) put together a well-balanced offensive attack on their way to a 3-1 win over Lindenwood Saturday in St. Louis. Elizabeth Quinn tied Jewell's NCAA era single-game record
with a career-high nine blocks. Maddie Wingert led the way with nine kills. Four players finished in double-figures in digs with Kennedy Ruckh and Tori Vogt collecting 21. Quinn leads the GLVC in blocks per set (1.36). Ruckh ranks ninth in the GLVC in digs per set (4.07).
