No. 12 Hawks rebound for 3-1 road win at Quincy

The 12th-ranked Rockhurst Hawks rebounded from a weekend road loss to post a 3-1 victory over Quincy (23-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-13) Tuesday night in Quincy, Illinois.

Karli Reichert finished with 18 kills and eight digs to lead the Hawks to their 10th win of the season. Alyssa Woodman collected 12 kills and 17 digs. Dani Prusha tallied 38 assists and 10 digs. Kalie Arnold posted a team-high 24 digs.

"We played solid after the first set. We went back to a 6-2 attack in the third set and that worked well for us," said Rockhurst coach Tracy Rietzke.

Set One: Quincy 25, Rockhurst 23
Quincy scored three of the last four points to capture the opening set. Reichert and Woodman combined for 11 kills.

Set Two: Rockhurst 25, Quincy 19
The Hawks went on an 8-1 run to take an 18-12 lead. Quincy hit .050 with nine hitting errors.

Set Three: Rockhurst 25, Quincy 17
Rockhurst jumped out to an 8-2 lead and pulled way later behind a 10-2 run. Arnold led the Hawks with seven digs.

Set Four: Rockhurst 25, Quincy 13
The Hawks took an early 11-3 lead and eventually led by a 21-7 margin. Reichert and Rolf combined for nine kills, while Arnold had 10 digs.

Player of the Match
Mary Rolf. The junior middle hitter posted nine kills while hitting .500 and had a team-high six blocks. She had four kills and three blocks in the third set.
