Boots leads Hawks to 14-2 win over Ottawa

Box Score Tessa Boots scored six goals to lead Rockhurst to a 14-2 victory over Ottawa Saturday at RU's Bourke Field.

Boots tallied three unanswered goals in the first half to give the Hawks a 4-1 lead. She added her ninth and 10th goals of the season in the second half.

Lily Molina posted four points on two goals and two assists. Hannah Miller added two goals, one assist, two ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Maddi Scheipeter collected one goal, three draw controls, three ground balls and one caused turnover. Hanna Meek finished with three draw controls and three ground balls.

Leena Nabulsi, Kelsey Norby and Kathryn McDonald combined for seven saves. Spud Ring totaled a team-high four caused turnovers.

The Hawks (3-1) open conference play at March 5 at home against Fort Lewis.
