Hawks suffer first loss of the season at Regis

Regis scored four unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to hold off Rockhurst for an 11-7 victory Wednesday in Denver, Colorado.

The 15th-ranked Rangers (3-2) jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the second quarter. The Hawks (6-1) went on a 3-0 run to tie the score early in the second half. Regis then went on a 7-1 run to take an 11-5 lead with 4:30 left to play.

 

  • Kylee Pickens led the Hawks with three goals, one assist, five draw controls and one ground ball.
  • Kaylee Lary scored three goals on seven shots.
  • Elise Magee tallied one assist, one draw control and one ground ball.
  • Ayana Bougie-Martinez posted three caused turnovers and three ground balls.
