Balanced attack carries Hawks to 3-0 win over Truman

A balance hitting attack guided the 11th-ranked Rockhurst Hawks to a 3-0 victory over Truman State (25-23, 25-21, 25-21) Friday night at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks collected 49 kills behind a .285 hitting percentage in winning their ninth consecutive match.

Karli Reichert tallied 13 kills and 11 digs. Mary Rolf posted 10 kills and five blocks. Alyssa Woodman added 10 kills and seven digs. Kalie Arnold tallied 20 digs and Dani Prusha totaled 37 assists.

Set One: Rockhurst 25, Truman State 23
The Hawks went on a 7-0 run to take a 19-14 lead. Rolf and Reichert combined for eight kills and three blocks.

Set Two: Rockhurst 25, Truman State 21
Rockhurst jumped out to a 15-7 lead and held off a late 5-0 run by the Bulldogs. Reichert led the way with six kills.

Set Three: Rockhurst 25, Truman State 21
The Hawks scored seven unanswered points to take a 21-16 lead. Woodman, Reichert and Emma Kriete combined for 13 kills.

Player of the Match
Mary Rolf. The junior middle hitter had 10 kills and a team-high five blocks. She only had one hitting error while collecting a .500 hitting percentage. She posted five kills in the first set.
