Hawks cruise to 3-0 victory over Kentucky State

The 11th-ranked Rockhurst Hawks increased their winning streak to 10 in a row with a 3-0 victory over Kentucky State (25-12, 25-11, 25-20) Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Emma Kriete paced the Hawks with 10 kills and a .400 hitting percentage. Kalie Arnold tallied 26 digs and four assists. Freshman Justice Wingate collected seven kills and two blocks. Karli Reichert added seven kills. Dani Prusha posted 30 assists and eight digs.

Set One: Rockhurst 25, Kentucky State 12
The Hawks jumped out to a 13-4 lead and closed the set on a 5-0 run. Rolf and Kriete each had four kills. Arnold, Prusha and Woodman combined for 16 digs.

Set Two: Rockhurst 25, Kentucky State 11
Rockhurst led 17-5 on the way to winning by 14 points. Kriete led the way with four kills. Arnold had seven digs.

Set Three: Rockhurst 25, Kentucky State 20
The Hawks rallied from a 16-8 deficit, ending the set on a 17-4 run. Arnold collected 11 digs. Reichert had a team-high three kills.

Kalie Arnold. The senior libero had 26 digs, including 11 in the third set. She added eight digs in the first set and seven digs in the second set.
