Rockhurst fell to Walsh in four sets (12-25, 25-21, 26-24, 25-22) Friday night in their second match at the Midwest Region Crossover in Indianapolis.
Karli Reichert led the 10th-ranked Hawks with 14 kills.
Alyssa Woodman added 12 kills.
Emily Matio and
Emma Kriete added nine and eight kills, respectively.
Kalie Arnold recorded a team-high 23 digs.
Dani Prusha led the Hawks in assists with 32.

Set One: Rockhurst 25, Walsh 12
The Hawks jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the opening set and kept the Cavaliers at arm's length, taking the set by 13 points. Reichert had four kills in the set.
Set Two: Walsh 25, Rockhurst 21
The second set was tight throughout. Rockhurst led 14-11 before a momentum-swinging 5-0 run put the Cavaliers up by two. Despite seven kills from Woodman, the Hawks dropped the set by four.
Set Three: Walsh 26, Rockhurst 24
Tied 6-6 early in the third set, Rockhurst rattled off five straight points to jump ahead 11-6. They maintained that five-point margin until a 4-0 Walsh run brought the Cavaliers back within one at 17-16. Tied at 24, the Cavs won the next two points to take the set and a 2-1 lead in the match.
Set Four: Walsh 25, Rockhurst 22
After falling behind 8-5 in the fourth set, a 10-2 run put the Hawks up 15-10. Leading 22-18, the Hawks surrendered the next seven points as Walsh closed out the match.
Player of the Match: Emily Matio. The senior from Fishers, Indiana recorded nine kills and six blocks.
