Jackson helps carry No. 7 Hawks past William Jewell, 6-1

Kaleb Jackson scored two goals in a 6-1 win over William Jewell.

Box Score Kaleb Jackson knocked home two goals to lead seventh-ranked Rockhurst to a 6-1 victory over William Jewell Friday night at Bourke Field.

Jackson opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a shot inside the left post from 18 yards out. The senior forward added his second goal in the 70th minute on a 15-yard shot inside the right post to give him a team-high five goals.

Defenders Connor Mullen, Hayden Sparrow and Filippo Santandrea also scored first-half goals to give the Hawks a 4-0 halftime lead. A fourth defender, Sal Caruso, scored the final goal of the game in the 73rd minute.

Rockhurst outshot Jewell, 26-5. Adam Michel and Jacob Richter led the Hawks with five shots apiece. Jackson and Salim Gumati each collected three shots. Logan Feldmann was credited with one save.

The Hawks (6-0-1 and 5-0 in the GLVC) host Drury next Friday night.
