Box Score Rockhurst took over sole possession of first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 2-0 victory over Truman State on Sunday in Kirksville, Missouri.
Adam Michel and
Kaleb Jackson took care of scoring the goals for the seventh-ranked Hawks, while
Logan Feldmann posted his fourth shutout of the season.
Michel scored his first goal of the season in the 27th minute on a 10-yard shot off a corner kick by
Ben McDonald. Jackson beat the Truman keeper to score his third goal of the season in the 74th minute with an assist from
Jacob Richter.
Rockhurst outshot Truman State, 11-8.
Adam Michel led the Hawks with five shots. Jackson added three shots. Feldmann was credited with two saves.
The Hawks (5-0-1 and 4-0 in the GLVC) return home to host William Jewell on Friday.
