Late goal lifts No. 7 Rockhurst to 2-1 win at Quincy

Box Score Sophomore midfielder Sean Michel scored in the 88th minute to give seventh-ranked Rockhurst a 2-1 victory over Quincy Friday night in Quincy, Illinois.

Michel chipped in a shot over the Quincy keeper from 12 yards out with 2:08 left in regulation. Adam Michel and Kaleb Jackson assisted on the game-winning goal.

Jackson tied the score at 1-1 with his second goal of the season in the 56th minute on a shot from the middle of the box off a pass from Swann Vincent. Quincy took a 1-0 lead with a goal 68 seconds into the game.

Rockhurst outshot Quincy, 13-7. Adam Michel, Luca Mastrantonio, Michael Panarisi and Claudio Romano led the Hawks with two shots apiece. Logan Feldmann made two saves for Rockhurst.

The Hawks (4-0-1 and 3-0 in the GLVC) next play at Truman State on Sunday.
