Box Score Third-ranked Rockhurst dominated the final 65 minutes at 11th-ranked Fort Hays State, but could not find the net in settling for a season-opening 0-0 tie Thursday night in Hays, Kansas.

Michael Panarisi almost won the game with a shot that went left of the net in the second overtime.
"I was pleased with our performance. That was a very good Fort Hays State team we played tonight,"Â said head coach
Tony Tocco. "We came close to scoring late in the game."
Rockhurst finished with 11 shots to the Tigers' nine shots. Senior forward
Adam Michel led the Hawks with four shots and two shots on goal. Freshman forward
Jacob Richter added two shots. Senior goalkeeper
Logan Feldmann made one save.
Fort Hays State finished with 27 fouls and seven yellow cards. Rockhurst had 13 fouls and three yellow cards.
The Hawks (0-0-1) will host Lindenwood at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Bourke Field.
