Hawks face Lewis in final regular season home game

Mary Dineen ranks fourth in career scoring at Rockhurst with 1,615 points.
The Rockhurst Hawks (13-6, 8-4 GLVC) host the Lewis Flyers (17-4, 9-3 GLVC)  in a Great Lakes Valley Conference inter-divisional matchup today at 1 p.m.

The Flyers won their last meeting, 81-78, on Feb. 4, 2016 at Lewis. The Flyers lead the all-time series, 9-1.

Mary Dineen, Haleigh Cindrich and Kendyl Blanke are playing their final regular season home games today. The three senlors will be recognized at halftime of the men's game.

Dineen ranks second in scoring (18.6), 16th in 3-point field goals made (1.7) and sixth in free throw percentage (83.3) in the GLVC. The preseason All-American ranks fourth in career scoring at Rockhurst with 1,615 points.

Junior guard Jillian Myers is fourth in steals (2.8), fifth in assists (3.6) and 10th in assist/turnover ratio (1.2) in the GLVC. Sophomore forward Marisa Lowe ranks 16th in scoring (12.8), third in 3-point field goals made (2.5) and 13th in 3-point field percentage (38.1) in the GLVC. Freshman guard Madeline Ronshausen is 14th in 3-point field goal percentage (37.5) in the GLVC. Freshman center Rachel Holden ranks sixth in blocked shots (1.2) in the GLVC

Rockhurst ranks second in 3-point field goals made (7.6), second in 3-point field goal percentage defense (28.3), third in field goal percentage defense (36.4), fourth in scoring offense (72.7), fourth in free throw percentage (73.6), fourth in blocked shots (4.4) and fourth in scoring margin (plus 7.8) in the GLVC.

The Hawks scored 28 points off turnovers in cruising to a 68-51 victory over Wisconsin-Parkside Thursday at Mason-Halpin. Mary Dineen led the Hawks with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists. Marisa Lowe posted 15 points and seven rebounds. Kaci German tallied a career-high 13 points and six rebounds. Jillian Myers finished with nine points, eight rebounds, five assists and six steals.

The Flyers are coming off a 58-52 victory at William Jewell Thursday night. Senior guard Jamie Johnson led Lewis with 22 points. Sophomore forward Jessica Kelliher ranks first in scoring (19.8), first in field goal percentage (69.6), second in blocked shots (1.5) and 10th in rebounding (7.2) in the GLVC. Johnson ranks third in scoring (17.8) and second in 3-point field goals made (2.6) in the GLVC. Sophomore guard Gabby Green ranks sixth in assists  (3.1) in the GLVC. Kristen Gillespie is in her second season as the head coach at Lewis.
