Rockhurst opened the NCAA Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Bellarmine in the first round of the Midwest Regional Thursday in Romeoville, Illinois. The Hawks won the first two sets, 25-14 and 25-20. Bellarmine posted a 25-22 win in the third set. Rockhurst closed out the match with a 25-23 win in the fourth set.
Karli Reichert led the Hawks with 19 kills.
Alyssa Woodman posted 11 kills and 13 digs.
Emily Matio finished with nine kills and five blocks. Audrey Arand tallied nine kills and three blocks.
Mary Rolf added seven kills and four blocks.
Anne Hellwege had a team-high 23 digs.
Grace Carter finished with 49 assists and 15 digs.

Rockhurst won the GLVC West Division, ending the regular season with a 28-7 overall record. In conference, the Hawks finished 14-4.
Alyssa Woodman led the Hawks with 400 kills.
Mary Rolf finished with a team-high .343 hitting percentage.
Anne Hellwege became the all-time school leader in digs this past fall.
RU took down UMSL and McKendree to advance to the GLVC Tournament Championship two weekends ago. The Hawks led 2-0 at the intermission, before falling to the Flyers in five sets.

Coach Tracy Rietzke
Rietzke became the fifth volleyball coach in NCAA history to rack up 1,200 wins in a career on October 27. The Hawks have averaged more than 34 wins per season and advanced to post-season play 23 times under Rietzke. He is currently the fourth-winningest women's volleyball coach in NCAA history.
NCAA Tournament Experience
Rockhurst is making its 11th appearance in the NCAA Divison II Championships and has reached the regional finals seven times. The Hawks reached the 2015 NCAA Elite Eight, behind senior middle hitter Preecy Seever who was named AVCA Player of the Year. Current senior libero

Findlay enters Friday with a 28-6 record, including a 15-2 record in conference. The Oilers are led by the junior trio of Amanda Winner, Hailee Olson, and Kara Scherger, all named All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference First Team.
The seventh seeded Oilers beat second seeded Hillsdale last night in five sets. Findlay rallied from down 2-1 to beat the Chargers 16-14 in the fifth set. Two players led UF with 19 kills a piece, while Kara Scherger tallied 27 digs.
