Jackson sends Hawks back to the National Semifinals in Kansas City

Box Score Rockhurst is returning to the National Semifinals in the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championships for the fourth time in the last five years. Kaleb Jackson scored a golden goal in overtime to give the 12th-ranked Hawks a 1-0 victory over Northeastern (OK) State in the Super Region 2 championship game Saturday at Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, W.Va.

The Hawks (16-2-2) will face either Lynn or Young Harris in the D-II National Semifinals on Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. at Kansas City's Children's Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village.

Rockhurst head coach Tony Tocco is now the all-time winningest intercollegiate men's soccer coach with 696 wins.

Jackson scored the winning goal 16 seconds into overtime on a shot from 10 yards out with an assist from Adam Michel. It was Jackson's team-high 13th goal of the season.

Rockhurst outshot Northeastern State, 26-6. Michel led the Hawks with seven shots. Gianluca Bottoni collected five shots and Jackson posted four shots.

The Hawks' Logan Feldmann stopped two shots in posting his 11th shutout of the season.
