No. 1-ranked Hawks blank Quincy at home, 1-0

Box Score Kaleb Jackson scored his team-high sixth goal of the season to give No. 1-ranked Rockhurst a 1-0 victory over Quincy Friday night at Bourke Field.

The Hawks, 8-0-1 overall, took over sole possession of first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 6-0-1 league mark.

Jackson headed in a shot from 10 yards out in the 49th minute off a pass from Gianluca Bottoni. Jackson leads the Hawks with three game-winning goals in 2016.

Junior goalkeeper Logan Feldmann posted his sixth shutout while stopping six shots for the second consecutive game. The Rockhurst defense has gone over 490 minutes without allowing a goal.

The Hawks finished with nine shots and three shots on goal. Jackson, Derek Schrick and Ben McDonald each posted two shots.

Rockhurst next faces Truman State at home on Sunday.
