Hawks remain unbeaten with 2-0 win at Maryville

Matt Collier (15) helped lead the Hawks to their fourth consecutive shutout.
Box Score Adam Michel posted a goal and an assist to lead third-ranked Rockhurst to a 2-0 victory over Maryville Sunday in St. Louis.

The Hawks, 7-0-1 overall, move into a first-place tie in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 5-0-1 league mark.

Michel scored his fourth goal of the season in the 11th minute on a 10-yard shot off a pass from Derek Schrick. Andrew Patke drilled a 17-yard shot off a pass from Michel to tally his first career goal in the 53rd minute.

Junior goalkeeper Logan Feldmann stopped six shots to collect his fifth shutout of the season. The Rockhurst defense has now gone over 400 minutes without allowing a goal.

The Hawks finished with 17 shots and seven shots on goal. Michel led the Hawks with six shots. Jake Peters and Patke each posted two shots.

Rockhurst returns home to face Quincy on Friday, September 30.
