Rietzke powers Hawks to 3-2 win at Southern Indiana

Morgan Rietzke led the Hawks with 20 kills and 20 digs.

Box Score Rockhurst rallied in the fifth set to post a 3-2 victory over Southern Indiana Saturday in Evansville, Indiana. The Hawks ended the match on an 11-3 run to capture the deciding set, 15-10.

The Hawks won the second and third sets, 26-24 and 25-21, to take a 2-1 lead. Southern Indiana forced a fifth set with a 25-23 win in the fourth set.
Morgan Rietzke paced the Hawks with 20 kills and 20 digs. Mattie Gray posted 18 kills with a .405 hitting percentage. Karli Riechert added 14 kills and 14 digs. Holli

Anne Hellwege collected a team-high 33 digs. Lily Thornberg collected 49 assists, nine digs and four blocks. Grace Carter totaled 11 assists and Kalie Arnold had 10 digs.

The Hawks (8-3, 2-0 GLVC) return home to host McKendree on Friday, September 23.
