Third-ranked Hawks shut out Pumas, 3-0

Adam Michel led the Hawks with two goals and four shots.

Box Score Adam Michel scored two goals in the first half to lead third-ranked Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over Saint Joseph's on Friday in Rensselaer, Indiana.

Michel headed in a shot from six yards out in the 15th minute off passes from Gianluca Bottoni and Paul Dean. The junior midfielder came back nine minutes later to score on 10-yard header with assists from Bottoni and Kaleb Jackson. Derek Schrick capped the scoring with a free kick from 18 yards out in the 75th minute.

Rockhurst outshot the Pumas, 16-4. Michel led the Hawks with four shots and three shots on goal. Junior goalkeeper Logan Feldmann made one save.

The Hawks, 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the GLVC, face Indianapolis on the road Sunday, September 18.
